The Box SF is a premier event and meeting venue in the heart of San Francisco, featuring six unique spaces for rent in our historic four-story building! Our antique 338-year-old Gate Table is the country’s oldest, longest meeting and dining table & has hosted hundreds of corporate and private events, workshops, training sessions, executive dinners, and wedding receptions. Our Second Floor features a private classroom and two smaller breakout rooms. Additionally, we host small, standing receptions in our museum-like 1850s letterpress shop on our ground floor and an intimate add-on experience in our hidden speakeasy / wine cellar.

Private Spaces:

The Top Floor & Gate Room This space has a total capacity of 125 guests with two beautiful connected rooms for your event. The Gate Room features our historic 338-year-old conference/dining table made from antique Chinese village gate doors! The table seats 32 and the room can seat 50 for a dinner or meeting. Our main room can be set up in many ways from theater style to various conference and reception set-ups for up to 125. The space is available to rent in two eight-hour blocks from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm - 12:00 am. Capacity: Up to 100 People Seated & 125 Standing

The Webster Suite Our Webster Suite can welcome anywhere from 2 to 16 guests and is rented by the hour, with a four-hour minimum. This meeting space includes a pull-down projection screen, Wifi, and furniture. Full bar packages and multiple catering options are available. Capacity: Up to 16.

The Willy Suite Our Willy Suite can welcome anywhere from 2 to 10 guests and is rented by the hour, with a four-hour minimum. This meeting space includes a pull-down projection screen, Wifi, and furniture. Full bar packages and multiple catering options are available. Capacity: Up to 8 Seated and 10 Standing

The Buddy Suite Our Buddy Suite and Classroom can welcome anywhere from 2 to 30 guests and is rented by the hour, with a four-hour minimum. This meeting space includes a pull-down projection screen, flat screen monitor, Wifi, and furniture. Full bar packages and multiple catering options are available. Capacity: Up to 30 Seated & 30 Standing

The Pressroom & Mercantile: Located on the ground floor of our building, is a unique letterpress shop with a museum-like atmosphere, and is open to the public Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm. The space features a working pressroom with a collection of original restored printing presses dating back to 1838. The store is also filled with 180 rare cabinets and over 15 million pieces of historic graphic design from 1700 to today. Our historic printing shop and 1850s mercantile can be rented for creative off-sites, small board meetings, film/video shoots, small weddings, & standing receptions.Capacity: Up to 50 Guests Standing. Note: Depending on the event, additional staff may be necessary.

The Sipping Room Speakeasy: The Hidden Speakeasy in our basement is called "The Sipping Room". This special room is accessible through two antique moving fireplaces and can accommodate up to 8 people at a time. This room is only available as a special add-on package for guests booking events with a bar package on the upper floors. Please inquire for more information. Capacity: Up to 8 People Seated
