Located in the heart of Union Square and the hotel district, August Hall is one of San Francisco’s original masterpieces. The unique space was originally built in the 1890s as a Victorian Playhouse by celebrated architect August Headman, where it later showed films such as “Stage Door” in the 1940s & featured the premier of Alfred Hitchcock’s film “Vertigo” on May 9, 1958. Today, this historic venue has been reborn as August Hall, serving as the perfect location to host your next corporate event, private concert, art show, film screening, wedding, reception, fundraiser or gala. With access to the world’s greatest musical entertainment, full service event production, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, custom menus and mixology – our unique venue will exceed expectations of even the most discerning guest.
