Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) offers spectacular views of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge from its location on San Francisco's northern waterfront. Registered as a National Historic Landmark District, the campus includes a variety of venues within its iconic Spanish Colonial Revival buildings. The FMCAC campus hosts a curated collection of acclaimed art galleries, cultural museums, theaters, restaurants, bars, and cafés, making it one of San Francisco's most vibrant cultural districts.

Gateway Pavilion

The Gateway Pavilion at Pier 2 is an acclaimed 66,000-square-foot waterfront space with expansive views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. Situated next to the Festival Pavilion on the Bay, the Gateway Pavilion is perfect for large gatherings, including conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and more. It features flexible meeting spaces, a 2,000-person capacity, and award-winning green design elements.

Festival Pavilion

Extending into the San Francisco Bay, the Festival Pavilion provides a spectacular location for festivals, trade shows, exhibits, and conventions. At 50,000 square feet, the venue offers space for up to 3,800 people and features iconic views of Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay. For larger events, the Pavilion may be used in conjunction with other campus venues for breakout options.

Gallery 308

Originally host to the maritime trade and repair shops at Fort Mason, Gallery 308 boasts panoramic views of  San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. The historic space features an open floor plan, state-of-the-art lighting, polished concrete floors, multi-purpose blackout shades, and an adjacent outdoor patio. Gallery 308 has been meticulously rehabilitated to its original industrial aesthetic by Jensen Architects and serves as a prime venue for art exhibits, wedding receptions, conferences, and parties.

Cowell Theater

World-class views welcome visitors to the Cowell Theater at the north end of Pier 2, located on the San Francisco Bay. This 437-seat, fully equipped theater provides a unique space for performance art, film, and lectures.

The Store House

Originally used to store goods to be transported overseas from the San Francisco Port of Embarkation, The Store House is a versatile space on the ground floor of Landmark Building D. It features views of the San Francisco Bay, polished concrete floors, a beautiful prep kitchen, and several small breakout rooms. The Storehouse is ideal for meetings, conferences, receptions, and weddings.

Firehouse

The Firehouse is a charming event space on San Francisco Bay’s edge, with windows that overlook bay waters and unparalleled views of Angel Island and Alcatraz from the adjacent patios. Perfect for small weddings, receptions, meetings, birthday parties, classes, and more.

General’s Residence

The historic General’s Residence features views of Aquatic Park, Alcatraz, and the far reaches of San Francisco Bay. Recently renovated, the building features a ballroom, dining room, lounge, foyer, and the Funston Room, which can be used as a small meeting room or bridal suite. Overlooking the bay, the rear lawn is a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony or other outdoor event.

Meeting Spaces

Landmark Building C

Four refurbished meeting rooms feature Bay views and are ideal for workshops, meetings, fitness classes, and break-out spaces. The rooms may be rented by the hour or day. Flexible set-ups allow for capacities ranging from 40 to 138.

Other Venue Rental Details:

Parking Lot: FMCAC’s lower campus includes metered parking spaces for 550+ vehicles. The entire lot is available for daily rental with the rental of select venues.

Historic Preservation: To maintain and preserve Fort Mason Center as a National Historic Landmark, a historic preservation fee of 10 percent of the room rental is assessed on all venue and room rentals.

Vendors: While FMCAC works exclusively with certain vendors or electrical, waste management, Wi-Fi, and valet parking, event organizers may select their vendors for other services or work with vendors from our preferred vendor list, which can be found here.
