Located in the heart of Union Square and the hotel district, August Hall is one of San Francisco’s original masterpieces. The unique space was originally built in the 1890s as a Victorian Playhouse by celebrated architect August Headman, where it later showed films such as “Stage Door” in the 1940s & featured the premier of Alfred Hitchcock’s film “Vertigo” on May 9, 1958. Today, this historic venue has been reborn as August Hall, serving as the perfect location to host your next corporate event, private concert, art show, film screening, wedding, reception, fundraiser or gala. With access to the world’s greatest musical entertainment, full service event production, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, custom menus and mixology – our unique venue will exceed expectations of even the most discerning guest. Fifth Arrow: A premium cocktail, dining, and gaming parlor located downstairs from the August Hall lobby, complete with three bowling lanes. Assembly Hall: Make your next event a part of history! With sprawling 32-foot ceilings, 100 year-old architecture and new drapery outlining historic stained glass windows, the Assembly Hall is a pristine renovation of one of the City’s original masterpieces.
